Through years of practice and R&D, we have put together the ideal "Turn Key" engine setup for your VW / Subaru Conversion - that is as close to factory new, as possible.
"The Conversion" starts with one of our 100% brand new shortblocks, coupled with a set of our in house rebuilt cylinder heads. (long block details below). The longblock is then assembled with; one of the highest flowing factory Subaru oil pumps, a combo of one of our media blasted intake manifolds and set of valve covers (powder coating available as well) and all of the needed accutrements. We utilize a factory directional coolant manifold (reversed manifold available).
This setup comes complete with all new ignition components, alternator, PCV system, vacuum hoses, and electrical sensors on the block/heads. The injectors then go through our ultrasonic deep cleaning, followed up by our flow testing and balancing procedure. We then close off the longblock with a smallcar cast shortened oil pan and brand new outter timing covers / harmonic balancer.
"But what about the wiring harness and ECU?!"
Boy are we glad you asked! We are very happy to announce we have partnered with the best of the best for "The Conversion". Each motor comes with a well renown, top of the line AV Subaru Conversion wiring harness. These harnesses are nothing short of fantastic. Each connection is clearly labeled and neatly organzied - Making this setup truly plug and play!
As part of our initial process, we source a donor vehicle and pull the necesary second hand components for assembly (bracketry, clips, etc). While doing so, we pull the associated harness and ECU. These are then sent up to AV for modification. We have tried and tested these harnesses for years and will gladly stand behind them!
All of our turn key setups are 100% run tested and broken in on our inhouse engine "run room".
Our setup is as close as one can possibly get to a new, "ready to go" Subaru SOHC engine.
All that is needed; A mount of your choice to match your vehicle, exhaust of your choosing and lastly, your cooling system! Turn the key and letterip-tater chip!
